Legal
Terms
Plain terms for using the index, and honest limits on what it can tell you.
What this service is
IL Sites is an index of public observations about newly launched websites. It’s not an official registry, an ownership database, a certification service, or a rating of quality or safety. A listing isn’t an endorsement, and the absence of a listing doesn’t mean anything either.
Accuracy
The service is provided as is. Listings, dates and descriptions can be incomplete, delayed, automated or simply wrong. Observations are generated from what a page served at one moment, and sites change. Don’t rely on a listing as your only source for a decision that matters.
Accounts
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Keep your account details accurate, don’t share or sell your account, and don’t run several accounts to push votes around. We can suspend an account that abuses the service.
What you post
You keep ownership of comments you write. By posting, you let us display and distribute that content as part of running the service. Don’t post anything unlawful, harassing, or that isn’t yours to post.
Automated access
Don’t scrape the index at a rate that degrades it for other people, and don’t circumvent rate limits. If you want bulk access, email [email protected] and ask.
Changes to the service
We may change, limit or discontinue parts of IL Sites, and features that are free today may not stay free. We’ll give notice where we reasonably can.
